Flux Reflow

Mac apps for electronics repair

Software for the repair bench.

Flux Reflow makes tools for repair shops and board-level technicians, built by a technician with over twenty years at the bench. Each app starts from the same nine squares, arranged for the job it does.

TicketrRepair tickets, the register and inventory for your shop.

The apps

Made for the people who open devices up and put them back together. Mac first, private by default, and shaped by how a repair shop actually works.

A boardview viewer for board-level repair. Bring your board files and Boardr sorts them into a library by device, so the board on your bench is a couple of clicks away.

  • Opens OpenBoardView .brd, XZZ .pcb and OpenBoardData .obdata files
  • Find a part or a net and follow it across the board
  • Line the boardview up with a photo of the real board
  • Keep your readings, notes and reference images with each board
  • No accounts, no tracking, no network access

Ticketr

In development

Repair tickets, the register, inventory and customers in one Mac app. It is being built for our own counter first, so every screen gets used for real before anyone else sees it.

  • Tickets from check-in to pickup, with parts and labor on one receipt
  • Every payment tied to a register drawer
  • Serialized inventory and a repair catalog priced by device model
  • Reports for the whole store or for each person on staff
  • Keeps working when the internet drops

Why the name

Flux cleans the metal so solder can flow. Reflow is the heat curve that melts the solder and lets it set into a good joint.

Every board we repair goes through both, so the name stuck. This is the curve a lead-free joint follows on our bench.
